Curling comes to the ‘Zoo!

The U.S. Curling Nationals are coming to Kalamazoo the week of March 6-13, and we’re inviting any and all Jaycees who want to come to Wings Stadium this week to watch all the action!

Not only will there be opportunities to watch the curling, you can learn to curl as well! Full details may be found on the Kalamazoo Curling Club website.

This Saturday (March 5) is one of the better “bang for the buck” days. A day pass to the event is only $10, and that gets you the Opening Ceremonies (starting at 2:15), and two draws of curling (one starting at 4:30, the other at 8:30). For an extra $10 you can spend one full hour learning to curl, starting at 7:00 p.m.

If there are any Jaycees who are planning on coming down, please contact me (Eric Schmidt) at 269-352-5907. I’ve been a member of the club since its inception, and I’ll been teaching at some of the Learn to Curl sessions. Come on down!
