Jaycees Softball Report for May 4

A report from Dave Worthams – So I’d be lying if I told you that I witnessed your Jaycees play the best game of their collective lives – because I wasn’t there. Sorry, had to go to a BBQ at our State Rep’s house. But I was thinking of the team the entire time, I swear to God I was!
At any rate, the rumor is that your Jaycees did play the best game of their collective lives, and they came back from behind (twice) to beat Team McNees by a score of 9-6. Big props to Bob Webster for going 3 for 3 with a HR and 2 double. Also a shout out to rookie Ross Vliek who went 2 for 3 with a HR and a double.
Just for the record, there will be no steroid tests this year … it’s part of our contract. I swear to God it is!
Next game is Sunday 5/11/08 (and I’ll be there this time) at 6:15 on Field V-2 vs Main St. Pub - Gull Road. This is the last game in the Jaycees home stand for the first half, so make sure you’re there. Players, be there by 5:30.
