Kazooan Online for June 4, 2010
Happy Friday, Kalamazoo Jaycees and potential members! What a monster weekend for the ‘Zoo… here’s what’s on tap:
TONIGHT: Art Hop
It’s one of the biggest Art Hops of the year, and probably my favorite. We’ll be heading down around 5:30, but you are welcome to join us anytime!
SATURDAY: Do-Dah Parade
It’s our annual tradition – the Do-Dah Parade – helping to promote Island Fest. We’ll be meeting at the corner of Lovell and Jasper at 10 a.m., please join us!
SUNDAY: Softball Team
We’re right on the cusp of having enough people to “make it official”, so PLEASE come and bring friends! 6:15 on Field V-3.
TUESDAY: Fall Family Festival Meeting
Michelle Lorimer is planning a charity “Say Hello to Fall!” Family Festival for September, and our first committee meeting is this Tuesday.
UPDATED: Island Fest sign-ups!
You know the drill by now; we need volunteers to work Island Fest! Time to roll up your sleeves, put on those cruddy shoes and get ready to serve the teeming masses once more.
We need as much help as you can give, so please sign-up for at least one shift per festival and lend a hand.
We are continuing the incentive from last year: if you work at least one shift at each festival you will have the chance to WIN $100, and for each additional shift you work, you are entered again!
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Jason Bocade (jdbocade@gmail.com, 344-8719) or Kevin Ploski (kploski@gmail.com).
COMING UP: Business After Hours
The Kalamazoo Chanber will be having their June “After Hours” at Kellogg Community Federal Credit Union on Thursday, June 10 from 5-7 p.m.
Have a great week!
