Camping Trip

The Kalamazoo Jaycees will be running the The Infamous B.I.C. Trip starting on Wednesday, August 1 at 8:00 AM.

The Infamous B.I.C. Trip is a summer camping trip that takes us up north to an island that is 32 miles off of the coast! We will be camping from August 1-5, enjoying nature, getting to know other Jaycees and learning about Beaver Island. Can’t make it Wed-Sun? You are more than welcome to join us Friday night or even Saturday for an overnight.

Travel time to Charlevoix is about 4 hours from Kalamazoo, the ferry to Beaver Island takes 2 1/2 hours. You can opt for a little pricier option of flying over taking only 15 minutes.

The ferry schedule:
August 1, 2:30 pm departure, check in to dock by 1:00 pm. ETA Charlevoix is Noon and ETA Beaver Island is 5:00 pm.
August 5, (You may choose to come back on an earlier ferry) 5:20 pm, check in to dock at 4:00 pm. ETA Charlevoix is 7:50 pm, ETA Kalamazoo is Midnight.
