The book speaks to the importance of family, the dark influences we all face, and the love that overcomes all things. This event is free and open to the public. Attendees will be able to meet the author and purchase signed copies of the book at the event. A portion of the sales will benefit the Kalamazoo Jaycees.
About Amaru Lewis
Amaru’s outlook on life could easily have been soured by his past experiences. Instead he writes about the importance of family and searching for love that overcomes in his book. Lewis describes his personal outlook by saying that he’s “an underdog supporter.” Lewis will talk about getting started on a manuscript and the process for independent book publishing, as he is fond of saying, “It’s only impossible until you do it.” Lewis says that independent book publishing is “the beginning of a revolution where the artists are taking back the industry,” and wants you to help you be a part of it.
“Writing is the last free thing on earth!” explain Lewis. “Creating a story and putting it on a piece of paper, scrap paper, or a simple napkin. Some of us do it for hobby and some of us dream of doing it on a grand scale. Some of us just write for personal relief and a few would like to share it with the world. For those that would like to share their writings with the world via book form there is an upcoming event you may be interested in.”
