Racing Excursion

The Kalamazoo Jaycees will be running a “Racing Excursion” on Saturday, August 11 at 4:00 PM. We’ll be attending the Hantz Group 200 at Berlin Raceway in Marne.

The hospitality pavilion is open from 4:00-6:30pm for check-in, food tickets and dinner. We can arrive at any time. Hot dogs, hamburgers, chips and a drink will be provided. The food is sponsored by Brann’s.

From 6:15-6:45pm, there will be an autograph session allowing spectators to enter the raceway, get autographs and check out the cars. From 7:00-8:30pm, there will be the preliminary racing and fun races. At 8:30pm, the official Hantz Group 200 begins. The race will last around 2-2.5 hours, depending on race events. Attendees can bring coolers with pop or water into the race area. Everything is free of charge, except for the gas to travel to the raceway.

The Hantz Group has been sponsoring this event for the last 7 years as a client appreciation event. The first year, the company offered 500 tickets. This year there will be 1500 tickets offered, so there is a big demand for tickets. The chairperson works for the Hantz Group and is providing free tickets for anyone interested in attending the race.
