Relay for Life

The Kalamazoo Jaycees will once again be participating in the Relay for Life, a 24-hour event that raises money for cancer research.

The event will kick off at 12 p.m. on Saturday, May 22, taking place once again at the Kalamazoo County Expo Center & Fairgrounds. People can come out and walk in shifts. This is a 24 hour event, wrapping up at noon on Sunday, May 23.

We need every member’s help to fight cancer. We need people to ask friends, neighbors, coworkers and family to donate to this cause. Please remember: cancer will not be cured by us walking in circles, we need to raise money to fund cancer research.

The Kalamazoo Jaycees Relay for Life team web page is now up and running. If you’d like to join our team or make a donation, click this link.

Contact Amber Benn (abenn@email.davenport.edu) or Lisa Kukulski (skeegirl27@yahoo.com) to sign up for a shift of walking or if you have questions about fundraising or the event.

For those who have not been able to participate in this moving event, this is a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. Teams of people camp out at the fairgrounds and take turns walking or running around a track.

Jaycees across the country have been forming teams for this national fundraiser. We hope to see you out!
