The Jaycees have always been about offering “the total experience,” improving the personal and professional lives of its members. All projects and programs run by the Kalamazoo Jaycees fall within one of four major programming areas of development:
The Kalamazoo Jaycees are strongly dedicated to promoting and improving the quality of life for everyone in our community. We raise thousands of dollars in money and donations specifically targeted to many different organizations and people in our community.
In addition, the Kalamazoo Jaycees perform thousands of hours of volunteer work per year to enhance the resources and facilities available to the public. The Kalamazoo chapter also provides awareness about community issues and events.
Within Community Development, we run projects such as:
Individual Development (ID) focuses on personal growth - there is something for everyone. ID is all about “you.” It is a great place for all Jaycee members to find something that truly interests them because we offer a diverse and unique set of activities.

This area encompasses all projects dealing with the primary purpose of chapter management. This includes budgeting, obtaining and managing operating funds, and fun chapter activities (parties). Fund-raising and providing projects to just have fun are prominent areas of focus.
